Is it true that liquid soap is bad for the paint of your car?

Or is this biochemical gibberish to make you buy expensive shampoos car and does anybody really know what a surfactant is ionic?

Because shampoos are not that expensive and last longer. They are gentle enough not to Strip wax, dried paint or otherwise damage the paint job. Some of the wax in the formulation. Soap dish and other household items are soaps grease cutters harsh, May contain mild abrasives, salt, and the pH bad for a car paint finish.
