Can I save my money for vintage Taxco jewelry in a liquid style jewelry cleaner?

It has some blue / green colored areas, but I have no idea if this is some turquoise colored enamel. How do I clean silver? Should I assume that is sterling silver? Does it make a difference? It is old and badly tarnished … thank you! Just to clarify, the blue / green areas are rocks or something … the metal itself does not turn blue / green. It's just money, but tarnished.

Yeah, you can use jewelry cleaner or what to do: Cover the bottom inside of a bowl of heat proof glass dish with a piece of aluminum foil, shiny side up. Place tarnished silver in the bottom flat on aluminum foil. Add 1 tablespoon packed baking soda, then slowly pour boiling water to cover part. The tarnish will gradually collect on the foil. Remove your silver, rinse thoroughly and dry. If you live near a jeweler she / he can tell you if its turquoise and what kind of money it is, even before cleaning it.
