Cleaning with Vinegar

What’s the difference between cooking vinegar and cleaning vinegar as sold in the supermarket?

I have started using the cooking variety of white vinegar for cleaning but have noticed that the supermarket also sells a cleaning white vinegar. The only difference I can see is the cost as the cleaning one is about a dollar dearer.

I’ve never seen “cleaning vinegar” – I suspect some stores are putting the heinz in both sections of the store….but charging differently for them? Hm (shrugs)

Some cooking vinegars, especially the ones sold in smaller glass bottles have flavor enhancers (salt or seasonings of various kinds) added to them.

Heinz and brands of that sort can be used either way….
