Cyclonic Bagless

The inventor of the now famous Dual Cyclone bagless vacuum cleaner was an Englishman, not an American. James Dyson was born in England in 1947 and studied industrial design. Dyson has excelled as a runner in his younger years, but its affinity for inventing things started early of his life. The truck of the sea and Ballbarrow (a wheelbarrow with a ball rather than the wheel) was invented before his quest for a better vacuum cleaner.

The idea of a better vacuum

In the late 1970s, Dyson came across the idea of designing a higher vacuum cleaner – who would not lose suction as it picked up dirt and dust. Secrets of the Dyson

Dyson used a simple scientific principle from which to design a superior vacuum – the centrifugal force. This is the secret of the suction incredible range Dyson models. By dividing the air entering the machine into several small "cyclone", his machine was able to give more suction important than anything else on the market.

Since the Dyson eliminated the need for replacement bags, vacuum without bag became a hit with consumers. The market for disposable cleaner bags was enormous, and James Dyson is ready to take on all competitors.
