If you take your cat / dog / pet to a shelter for the fire-they may require you to Spay or is it your choice?

you have not adopted of them just take your pet for routine shots. I wondered about this a while ago and I was wondering if the community YA would know. I was wondering because a previous question mentioned that their cats are spayed @ 6 weeks and I want to Spay when they are older WAAAYY. So, if I were to 1) Get a pet and 2) does it take to get his shot can they force me to Spay?

The thing about animal shelters is that they do not want unwanted animals walking in the streets. I guess you have not yet a pet and you are concerned. I would too. Although veterinarians, please Spay or neuter a cat is less than 2 months, it is still possible, for example if a person adopts a healthy young kitten in a shelter. I volunteered at the animal shelter and they have a strict policy on pets fixed before being adopted. However, in your case they can not force you to make your pet fixed. If your home providing care veterinarian for the public (many do not) Would they force you to Spay your pet. Most people take their pet to the local veterinary for shots and checkups, not an animal shelter th. If your animal shelter offer these services just call to check. If they do not need to sterilize your pet, just go to a veterinarian who is not associated with the shelter. However, you should Spay (females) or neuter (males) of your pet before they respond to sexual maturity. Trust me. My cat is 4 years was not castrated until he was 10 months. At 5 months he began to mark his territory in the house (a big no no, lol) and works without escaping from the house. After the procedure easy and painless, it was the cat of the same old, less territorial aggression and attempt to break free. Hope this helps! If you get a pet do a lot, lot of research before.
