How do I clean inside of oven without chemicals?

I rent and I have a gas oven that doesn’t turn completely off. I’ve already asked the rental office if they can turn off the gas, and they refused.

First thing I would do is contact the housing authorities and file a complaint. There is absolutely no reason for ANYONE to be living in a home where the oven will not turn off. That is just plain dangerous and you have got to do something about it NOW!!!

As far as cleaning it goes, I really don’t know what to tell you. But the main point here is that for yours and your family’s safety and the neighbors, you need to get something done about the oven that won’t turn off. You don’t want to start fire during the night.

Please, just contact the housing authorities and then worry about cleaning it later.
