Best Upright Vacuum for wood floors and the spots are tight?

We have pets and children and thousands of wooden floors. We currently have a canister vacuum, but its a pain to store and difficult to lug around. We are looking for high quality, integrated light with a small head to get into corners and tight places. Any advice? Please help! Thank you,

I also have children and animals. My daughter was in step 4 of chronic lung disease (she spent the day at work) and was allergic to something about Then all I had to vacuum at least once day.s also have a now 16 months old 10 birds and 2 dogs. And wood floors and carpet and tiling. I used Dyson and it works as they claim, however, once the warranty ran the engine died and to replace the engine was as well as a Dyson New! I then bought the Dirt Devil Vision bagless and I have nothing to complain about her great and good in parts Joined board with a great aspiration. Only in the fall, in my opinion and it's not big of a deal is home to 2 filters, diffuser air and cartridge should be cleaned at least once a week. And its light weight, I bought mine at Walmart for 120 dollars, ive seen cheapers Vacs there, but like most of all appearance and yes mark the one I bought and I never go back to Dyson. Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner is also called "Supply line" professional sound quality. But the one I have is great for animals.
