It is a story about my friend Stan. A sudden divorce Stan had left a lot of money. He had a pretty good job as an accountant with the firm wearing one of the men, but he needed more money quickly to deal with marital debts and costs of childcare.

A mutual friend told him about this major new work at home. Stan was a little skeptical, but he thought he was going to have to be open to finding some thing he would go quickly and the idea of working from home pleased, because it would give him more time with his son.

He went the meeting and it was an opportunity MLM.

Stan was excited by the prospect of having his own business. The product seemed great, especially since they treated so many diseases, they are practically sold themselves, it was said.

Taking into account the opinion leaders, you must be a product of the product, Stan bought the starter pack and Gold rose to a level where the commissions were higher.

Naturally, he signed for the auto ship to qualify for wins on his team.

Stan was really impressed income by some people who were doing was optimistic it would kill some spare bucks soon enough as he was determined, hard worker, then the residual income would kick in. ..

Moving quickly to 5 months. Stan was out of the company, discouraged, deeper into debt and nearly broke.

What happened?

He, like most people who enter their MLM company had no idea of how to market. Nearly 80% never one sponsor, Stan had made at least in one person, his uncle Lew.

After Stan was dismissed by friends, family and colleagues, his ex-wife accused in fact when she came to get their son a night he was humiliated. She had heard from mutual friends that he was in one of these things Amway.

When its hot market froze, Stan was faced with selling to foreigners, not an easy thing for guys with figures.

After some horribly clumsy attempts to obey the rule of 3 feet, talking to anyone the company is within 3 feet of you, wherever you are, he was ready to leave.

Fortunately, he thought, his sponsor told him to never, never give up, and encouraged him to buy leads. These are people who were actually seeking opportunities business, and just waiting for his call to start their business.

This was going to be his salvation, he thought. It would now speak to people who wanted to talk. Stan actually bought an expensive wireless Blue Tooth hands-free telephone so that he could pace the speech and language body used to be more convincing on the phone.

He even changed his phone to an Internet service, like many other guys had done and could not wait to download the first batch of hot and Exclusive Hungry, Leads.

Knowing that you had to spend to win money, he wanted the highest quality to ensure success. He bought 300 of these prime leads for $ 5 each spending a total of 1500 $ Month. He said he could draw 10 per day.

It was rough going, but Stan had expected, and pumped by the thought that the success of the CD he bought the company, he pressed on.

Being a numbers guy, he has faithfully kept track of its results. It could never reach almost half of drivers; wrong number, not home, answering machine, etc. This is good news.

When he sent someone, they were often rude, did not recall receiving the mailing, mail (indirect, perhaps?) or by giving their names, leaving Stan up on trying to defend his company, his products and himself, when more than one occasion he was told in colorful language not call more ever.

His second month, he bought more leads, 500, knowing it would not be able to reach so many people. He bought quality even higher, Local, new leads, for a total of nearly $ 3,000. That was it. He was desperate and certainly on 500, he could at least sell 5% return and much of its capital.

He also spent $ 150 for a course aimed at him in a shark "phone", or at least that's what the bill of sale on the site says. It even came complete with scripts that call answered the question formidable, "Is this a pyramid?"

Half way through the month, he attended a regional convention in Las Vegas, feeling well as a "real" businessman traveling for business. He even wasted a bit on his room, thinking was "Fake It to make it" as his sponsor told him.

Pumped through the hype and big checks because on stage, Stan has spent nearly $ 1,800 in total to the Convention.

He returned home on fire and actually went door to door giving sample packs and CDs he had purchased in large quantities to the Convention.

Why did not I do it earlier, he asked himself. Once they start taking the product and see results, its neighbors to clear a path to his door.

Nobody does.

Stan finally managed to pass himself off now 2 months later, bitter, almost broken, embarrassed, his dreams died. You would not try to talk to Stan about your MLM opportunity.

Fully 95% of MLMers never fail to make a living full time in the company. Over 80% of sponsors ever person among those who sponsor them, they average 2.5 persons, not quite sufficient to generate the elusive passive income stream.

These shocking but true statistics tell us that MLM as we know it with the 3 foot rule, hotel meetings, putting leaflets under windscreen of car to the mall and other methods of marketing in 1950 is dead, but he does not know yet. Vive network marketing!
