My Search For The Best Air Purifier

Due to allergies and asthma I have owned more than 56 air purifiers since 1974. And I've even become a health practitioner in 1982 because of how I overcame allergies and asthma naturally.

I have owned: Ozone air purifiers, ionic air purifiers, zeolite, HEPA air cleaners, UV radiation, catalytic plate air purifiers, air purifiers and water with Brnada namesincluding – Alpine Air, EcoQuest, Hunter, Panasonic, Austin, IQAir, Sunair and about 23 other "no-name" Chinese brands. (I avoided Sharper Image and Oreck because ionic only does not do enough for me.)

So I'm going that I saw everything.

Last year Austin, IQAir, Oreck and Sharper Image (their new models, not Ionic Breeze) made me an offer for distribute their products.

I said no.

Here's why:

Failure Replacement Filter Air Purifier Do not Do A great job

The idea sounds great but once you've seen a dirty HEPA filter (HEPA's are a cloth as the filter containing the dust and pollution), you make one without the filter does not progress much dust or pollen – lungs AER!

"No filter replacement Models "include:
Ionic Breeze
ORECK Models (they contradict themselves on their website. You must replace the filters, but they are not HEPA)
Remedy – Get an air purifier that affordable replacements. HEPA is important if you have allergies.

Most replacement filters (HEPA, charcoal) are too expensive

In air purifiers Japan 2-3 include additional replacement filters. WHY? Because the Japanese think ahead.
Manufacturers U.S. Americans do not realize think ahead so they overcharge. Once you buy an air purifier that you will be stuck pay what they ask. (Reminds me of my inkjet printer $ 89 replacement cartridge is $ 28!)
Remedy: Ask for prices first filter. Every 6-12 months, you should change the filters. And anything over $ 25 is too many.
Purchase Suggestion: Ask for a discount on replacement filters added before buying.

Most air purifiers do not make the square footage On The Box
I called Oreck when their new round of $ 700 was recorded as covering 110 square feet. Times how does it renew the air in the room? " (Which means how time it will change all the air in the room). They do not know. Finally, a technology, said: "An hour". This is poor.
Remedy: Make sure you ask for 4-9 "Changes in hours" per square foot. (May You must call the manufacturer) Square Footage As noted on the box is also based on an empty room.

How do I choose the right technology?

Here are some guidelines to match the basic technology to your needs:
# 1 HEPA pre-filter, Neg / Ion, Plasma Grid = useful for allergies and asthma, some odors
# 2 Carbon, Charcoal, Ozone = Useful for odors, smoke, animal smells, chemical sensitivity, VCO, and immune system
# 3 UV, TiO2, Plasma Grid Ceramics = useful for the immune system (colds, flu, viruses, pathogens), and eliminating musty odors
New sensor technology, it is a cool new technology from Japan, which detects pollen. He promises to bring more relief from allergies. It adjusts continuously purifier room electricity savings and conjecture.

What is amazing is that most manufacturers produce now air purifiers that include multiple forms of technology.

CONCLUSION: Locate an air purifier which HEPA 3-5 and other technologies such as UV radiation and ions. Keep away from brands like infomercial markup price is high. Expect to pay $ 250-325 (and pay no more). Make sure the replacement filters are reasonably priced.
