Upright Style

The bonsai is grouped by style and form of the plant and how he bows to the position of the vertical axis. The bonsai has four basic styles: upright, slanting, cascade and semi-cascade styles. These styles are primarily applicable to bonsai comprising a single trunk. The only bonsai trunk is the easiest bonsai which helps determine the shape and form of bonsai.

The most basic style is the upright style, which can still be decomposed into two – the formal and the informal upright style. The simpler of the two is the formal upright style has classic form. It is the style most recommended for beginners just style, it's easier to do, especially when it comes to cutting the plant. The shape of the vertical formal is round or cone, with few branches coming out of the tree from the front and rear.

With the informal upright style, the position of branches is the same as the formal, except that the top of the plant leans slightly forward. The container preferably used in an informal style should be oval, with bonsai, to be planted slightly near one end of the container.

The bonsai style with oblique has a bent stem on an angle. The lowest branch positions bonsai itself to the direction that is opposite to where the tree is inclined. The decrease other branches of plants are grouped into three, while the upper part of the tree is leaning forward. Slanting bonsai should be planted in the center of the container with a box-type or circular shape.

With a cascading style, the trunk of the bonsai bends sharply to a position down past the edge of its container. Containers bonsai cascade style should be positioned on the edge of the media to create space for plant folding. Working on a bonsai to achieve a cascading style can be difficult and requires more time to achieve. The basic procedure is to bend the plant forward while trying to have a branch at the rear to take a vertical position while the side branches are in a position down.

Finally, in the semi-cascade style, the trunk became straight up to a certain point, then make it cascades down, but the angle is less brutal than the cascade style. With the semi-cascade style, the foliage is not allowed to touch the bottom of the container or pass him. Instead, the bonsai grow past just below the soil surface.
