A compilation album of family anecdotes, chronicling events, and conveying the tone and feel of your clan is certainly an excellent way to pass memories through the generations. Long before scrapbooking was a verb, the women passed along recipes dear to nearly the same way. It is therefore not surprising that recipe scrapbooking has evolved as the legacy of the next great family home.

Recipe scrapbooks will often be smaller than 12 x 12 albums used for other scrapbooks, because the function they serve. A recipe book sitting in May on the counter for the study of the dinner, or be thrown into your purse on your way to the market. Whether for your own use or as a gift, make a recipe scrapbook is bound to result in creating meaningful, personal, and very useful.

One of my favorite gifts in contemplation of marriage has always been a recipe box filled with cards provided by friends and family present for the wife to be. Imagine how much more beautiful and personalized recipe album could be. With recipes and ingredients, women older and wiser Sage wisdom may include marital, family stories or funny quotes.

A Scrapbook recipe could also make a great hostess, teacher or graduation gift. Each of these can be customized in different ways. For example, each family could provide the teacher a recipe and decorate a page for a gift of the class. If the book is for someone you donÂ't know very well, using pictures of vintage style food taken from old cookbooks or bottles of wine may be a convenient search album. What isnÂ't graduates require receipts, wisdom, taste of home from time to time? I recommend including the conversion and the extent to all your cards cookbooks for those who just leave the nest, and the rest of us with bad memories.

Try this recipe for assembly your family recipe book. Start with some Vintage looking cardstock, or jumped from one page cookbook for your old canvas background. Place your ingredients and directions on facing pages. Then use photos of your kitchen and family room to customize the page. You may want to comment journal of family members on their favorite dishes. Finally, be creative in your use of embellishments. The wine, food, spices and labels, magazine pages and pans, or clip art can all be fun.

For families with relatives Long distance, the recipe book can be a great way to communicate across the miles. Try a function of the region of the country where you reside. Parents WouldnÂ't Cape Cod love to get a cookbook full of recipes from the Southwest, postcards and photos of their family relatives in New Mexico?

Whether as a gift, a precious family heirloom, or just a fun and creative cooking, compiling an album recipe is a great way to use your cropping time. The inspiration, tools and methods are as endless as the recipes themselves. So get cooking and get growing!
